A divided picture of a blessing of narwhals and I bet you didn't know that a group of narwhals is called a blessing.

WHO WE ARE

Founded in 2014, the Narwhals Association has collected members from across the country devoted to giving narwhals the attention they deserve. We not only inform individuals of the existence of narwhals, but dispell the myth that narwhals arent real. After all, the myth of the unicorn was created from the narwhal, not the other way around.

The NAA is entirely focused on bringing to pass widespread knowledge of some of the most interesting creatures of the frozen north. Perhaps by exploring our site you may find how truly spectacular narwhals are. From their thin, elegant horns to their speckled tails, narwhals are uniquely themselves in every way.

WHAT ARE NARWHALS?

If you've never heard of narwhals, you're not alone. Besides not living in captivity anywhere on the planet, they rarely make an appearance even in the Arctic- the place they call home. Although often overlooked because of their distance from society, narwals are an animal to look out for. They not only sport a unique tusk protrudng from their jaw, but compose an elegant grace that few other creatures have mastered. Hunted for their tusks, narwhals are a nearly threatened species that often falls victim to threats such as poachers, polar bears, and global warming.

Narwhals live deep in the cold waters of the frozen North, and travel in pods of five to twenty. However, unlike their close relative, the beluga whale, who thrive in captivity, narwhals find solace in the cold waters of the Arctic, not to be constrained by mankind.
